Headquartered in Corning, New York since our founding in 1921, Sprague Insurance focuses primarily on serving customers in New York State.

We added an Elmira office in 2005 to provide easy access for our many clients there.

Since many of our customers have properties and businesses in other states, we have developed the capacity to serve their growing needs, wherever they may be.

Unlike most insurance agencies, we have our own claims administrator to help guide customers through the claims process. We continually upgrade our technology that enables us to access information and communicate rapidly.

4. Independent agency – We represent more than 20 different insurance carriers. We endeavor to understand the many factors that may influence our customers’ current and future needs, and then shop for the insurance package that best matches them. There are many variables, even among carriers that target the same market: specific coverages and exclusions, deductibles, claims settlement processes, rates, and more. Often, we present customers with several options, pointing out the differences among them, and offering our professional advice on the best choice.
